Wait what!? How did I not know there was a sequel to 2015’s action packed SICARIO!? I’m honestly ashamed this missed my nerd-radar.
SICARIO was the first of three films from director Denis Villeneuve solidifying him as a director to keep a close eye on. The other two films being ARRIVAL and BLADE RUNNER 2049. While Villeneuve will not return as director, SICARIO writer Taylor Sheridan returns alongside stars Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro. And honestly, the relationship between Del Toro’s Alejandro Gillick and Brolin’s Matt Graver was the highlight of the original. I’m definitely excited to see their stories continue. And if this first trailer is an indication, it’s going to be another awesome ride.
