We’ve known since last year’s The Game Awards that Telltale Games (THE WALKING DEAD, GAME OF THRONES) was creating a new game featuring everyone’s favorite caped crusader Batman, but details since then have been pretty sparse.
Well, this week Telltale has released an official logo (above) with the title BATMAN: THE TELLTALE SERIES along with a batch of screens finally giving us a sense of the game’s visual style.
It’s important to note that BATMAN: THE TELLTALE SERIES isn’t based on any of the films or television shows. It will be it’s own universe. Players will play as Bruce Wayne by day and Batman by night creating a dynamic experience allowing us to really experience a day in the life of Mr. Wayne. Pretty cool.
The official voice cast was also announced featuring an impressive lineup.
Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale’s vision of Batman will feature an award-winning cast of talent, including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle. We’ll be able to reveal additional cast and characters as the season progresses.
This is the perfect time to release a new BATMAN game with the popularity of GOTHAM on TV, the BATMAN V. SUPERMAN film, and with the DC’s “Rebirth” comic book refresh happening right now. Basically, it’s a good time to be a fan of the Bat.
BATMAN: A TELLTALE SERIES will begin releasing episodes this summer!
