The Day of the Doctor is the long awaited 50th anniversary episode of DOCTOR WHO. Plot details about the episode have been kept firmly under wraps so it comes as no surprise that we only get a trailer two weeks before the episode airs on November 23, 2013. While there has been a great deal of speculation about the episode’s plot, I’m not going to theorize, watch the trailer and come to your own conclusions.

What is clear from the trailer is that we are going to be seeing plenty of some old friends. The 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant (TV’s THE ESCAPE ARTIST), and Rose Tyler, played by Billie Piper (TV’s PENNY DREADFUL), whose participation has long been known, appear to have substantial roles in the episode, which should please their fans. We also see many Daleks as well as one or more Zygons, it’s a bit hard to tell from just the trailer, which should please the more traditional Doctor Who fans. The trailer also reveals what appears to be a smorgasbord of action, excitement, humor, and enough inside references to choke an elephant, in short, everything we have come to love DOCTOR WHO for. I don’t know about you, but this is more than enough of an appetizer to whet my appetite for the 50th anniversary episode.
