Thanks to the Twittersphere and Mr. Channing Tatum himself, we have confirmation that 20th Century Fox’s upcoming GAMBIT film will be released on October 7th 2016.

No other details were announced at this point, but the release date does lead one to speculate that Tatum’s Gambit could show up in the upcoming X-MEN: APOCALYPSE film due in May 2016 just months before GAMBIT. That could be a great way to reintroduce the character in the current (fixed) timeline after the events of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.
Either way, it’s pretty damn exciting knowing that next year we will see Gambit in a solo film. Hopefully it’s done right this time around.
