Last month it was reported (HERE) that DIE HARD 5 was going to become a reality when we learned that John Moore (MAX PAYNE, BEHIND ENEMY LINES) would be the official director for the project. Today we get the official title and release date to solidify the films existence. And the new title will be (drum roll please): A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD and it will be released on February 14th 2013. Here is a brief plot synopsis for the film:
“Since the first ‘Die Hard’ in 1988, John McClane (Bruce Willis) has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rouge Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.”
I was a bit bummed to learn that the film will not roll out during the summer blockbuster season. It is also no secret that I am a HUGE fan of the entire DIE HARD series including LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD and cannot wait for this sequel. I know a lot of you will bitch about the quirky title but I really don’t give a crap what it’s called as long as it’s bad ass! Seriously, it could be called “YOUSA THINKING YOUSA PEOPLE GONNA DIE HARD” for all I care and I’m sure I’m still gonna have a blast! More details as they emerge.
