This week it has been confirmed by Deadline.com that Liam Neeson (TAKEN, THE A-TEAM) will in fact be reprising his role as Bryan Mills in the sequel to TAKEN. The original movie was directed by Pierre morel (THE TRANSPORTER, UNLEASHED) and really showcased Liam Neeson as an absolute bad-ass. The movie did decent in the box office and has gained somewhat of a cult following since the DVD/Blu-Ray release last year. I am a huge fan of Neeson’s work and I especially love it when it comes out to kick some ass in awesome action movies such as TAKEN and THE A-TEAM. Production on the film will begin this upcoming Spring which will likely result in an early 2012 release. Not much else has been revealed such as a director or plot so expect updates from NERD as soon as they become available.
