Capcom has just officially announced RESIDENT EVIL 6! This will mark the third RESIDENT EVIL title to be released in 2012, the other two being RESIDENT EVIL: REVELATIONS for the Nintendo 3DS (February 3rd 2012) and RESIDENT EVIL: OPERATION RACCOON CITY for the PS3 and X-Box 360 (March 23rd 2012). Very cool!
RESIDENT EVIL 6 picks up shortly after the events of RESIDENT EVIL 5 and will follow the story of fan favorites Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield. This will mark the first time the two have starred in the same game together!
So far it is known that Leon’s side of the story will play like an updated classic style as he and an unnamed mystery girl investigate a break-out in another city much like what happened in Raccoon City during the events of RESIDENT EVIL 2. Chris on the other hand is in China with the BSSA (Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance) fighting off the undead with game mechanics similar to what fans found in RESIDENT EVIL 4 and 5 that focuses more on gun play and intense action.
