Today, Disney and Lucasfilm have officially released the first official teaser trailer for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS on Starwars.com. I doubt you are still reading this and have already clicked the trailer link, if not, I’ll shut up so you can watch already…

And let the harsh criticism begin! But not from me. I realize the film just wrapped shooting, the CGI isn’t 100% complete, AND this is just a teaser not a trailer. So I (likely for one) am going to reserve any negative judgement until I see an actual trailer, NAY!, the entire film. But in all seriousness, I really dig the tone here that is obviously catering to fans of the original trilogy. Tatooine, X-Wings, Millennium Falcom, and Stormtroopers round out the nostalgic nods with a bad ass looking Sith with a unique looking lightsaber for good measure. My only point of confusion was the droid on a soccer ball. Cool!? In any case, this serves as a good ‘tease’ and I can’t wait to see more!
