METROID: SAMUS RETURNS Overview Trailer

METROID: SAMUS RETURNS is a 2D action/adventure platformer developed by Mercury Steam and Nintendo releasing exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.

In anticipation for the game’s release on September 15th, Nintendo has released a detailed overview video detailing the story and showcasing game mechanics, weapon upgrades, and Amiibo functionality.

For those not privy, SAMUS RETURNS is a reimagining of 1991’s METROID II: RETURN OF SAMUS for the original Gameboy. And while we’re excited for the upcoming METROID PRIME 4 for the Nintendo Switch, SAMUS RETURNS is a classic return-to-form for the franchise. After all, there’s nothing quite like a 2D METROID game!
