Marvel and Disney have officially announced the release dates for their upcoming movies featuring Iron Man, Thor and Captain America that will follow this summer’s blockbuster event THE AVENGERS. Here are the official dates:
THE AVENGERS on May 4th 2012
IRON MAN 3 on May 3rd 2013
THOR 2 on November 15th 2013
CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 on April 4th 2014
The sequel to CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER was the latest official announcement and came along with the picture seen above featuring Captain America in a scene from THE AVENGERS. Marvel also added this about the film’s plot:
The second installment (of CAPTAIN AMERICA) will pick-up where the highly anticipated “Marvel’s The Avengers” (May 4, 2012) leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D., and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.
No big plot news on the other two Marvel films coming out just yet, but stay tuned because details will likely start to emerge once THE AVENGERS hits theaters in May. The thing I want to know is if The Incredible Hulk will get his own spin off movie or if he will just be used for the big Avengers films. Only time will tell, but it does not look too good for our green friend according to Marvel’s upcoming film slate.
“HULK sad!!”
