UNCHARTED: THE NATHAN DRAKE COLLECTION / Sony, Naughty Dog
In a somewhat expected move, Sony has officially announced that there will be a PS4 trilogy collection for the first three games in the hugely popular UNCHARTED series from Naughty Dog. This comes as little surprise seeing how UNCHARTED 4 is due out sometime before the end of March 2016 (whoo-hoo!). This gives veteran gamers and established fans a fun way to relive the series while giving newcomers an opportunity to play for the first time if they missed out. And let me tell you, if you missed out, you MISSED OUT! UNCHARTED is arguably one of my favorite game franchises of all time and is an absolute must-own! Lucky you! So really the only potential downside to this collection is the lack of any multiplayer support. While I’m completely fine with this decision, I’m sure a lot of gamers will whimper and moan. But think about it, that would take a lot of money and time to pull off fro something gamers may be interested in for a few weeks tops. The idea here is to give players a chance to experience the story and prep themselves for UNCHARTED 4. The silver lining is that maybe all you trophy hunters out there will have a much better shot at getting a Platinum for these games without all that multiplayer madness to worry about. Plus, early adopters will have a chance to get in on the UNCHARTED 4 multiplayer BETA. Pretty good trade off.
