Disney is hosting their huge D23 Expo this weekend in Anaheim California celebrating their amazing past while looking forward to their promising future. Owning Lucasfilm and Marvel sure helps making Disney one of the best sources of entertainment for all us nerds!
Probably the biggest announcement so far is the poster reveal for the upcoming STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS pictured above (duh!) by legendary artist Drew Struzan. Familiar faces including Harrison Ford’s Han “Chewie we’re home” Solo, Daisy Ridley’s Rey, Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, and John Boyega’s Finn who’s holding something all too familiar…a freaking lightsaber! While many fans speculated his force awareness, this confirms that he is likely going to be the main Jedi in the new trilogy. Sweet!
And this is all speculative based on the duel frowny faces I see in this poster, but umm…I kind of see a resemblance between Han and Rey. Two mean mugs cut from the same cloth perhaps? Meesa thinks so…
