The official STAR WARS website has announced that STAR WARS EPISODE VII will be released on December 18th 2015 just in time for the holidays! You can check out the official announcement HERE.
Buzz around the net was suggesting that a summer 2015 release may be too early for the film’s creators to deliver the quality film they are striving towards. This comes hot of the heels of the news that the screenwriting team has shifted from Michael Arndt (TOY STORY 3) to director J.J. ABRAMS (SUPER 8) and Lawrence Kasdan (STAR WARS EPISODE V: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK). A very wise choice if you ask me. Not to mention a little film called AVATAR released during the same window and we all know how much money that ripped from out collective wallets!
While no other details were officially announced, you can bet your blue milk drinking ass that the internet is about to explode with casting, story, and official title rumors.
