Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES continues filming in Pittsburgh and it seems like a slew of on-set shots have been released including peeks at Cat Woman, Bane, and the obscure vehicle in the pic above. The scoop comes from Batman-News.com and is thought to be the new Batwing. The design is much like the Tumbler in previous Nolan Bat-films and definitely looks to be something that could go airborne. No official word just yet as to what this is exactly but I’m sure an official pic will be released in the near future.

G.I. JOE: RETALIATION (aka G.I. JOE 2) is something to get very excited about. Sure a lot of the cast from the first installment are not coming back but who cares because there have been a few awesome additions including Dwayne Johnson (FAST FIVE) as Roadblock and Ray Stevenson (BOOK OF ELI) as Firefly to name a few. Word on the street is that paramount is looking to cast the character Joe Colton who is the original “Joe” and they are looking at Bruce Willis (LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD) for the part. Casting for G.I. JOE 2 has been happening real fast and an official announcement is eminent. As a side note; I enjoyed Stephen Sommer’s (THE MUMMY) original G.I. JOE: RISE OF COBRA and considered it good summer movie fun! Go Joe!

For years now nerds across the globe have been teased and titillated at the prospect of a new RIDDICK film and it looks like it will finally be coming out sooner than you think! Above is some fresh concept art for the film provided by Vin Diesel (FAST FIVE) himself on his facebook page. Looks pretty bad ass if you ask me! Also, writer/director David Twohy (PITCH BLACK) has been doing some location scouting for the movie and it seems like there is a finished script out there ready to be made into a film. RIDDICK 3 (tentative title) is said to be a trilogy topper that places Riddick on a dangerous alien planet (much like PITCH BLACK) where he must fight aliens and mercenaries alike while venturing towards his home word of Furya for some final retribution. The last film, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, ended with a huge twist and the sequel is said to address all the story elements from that film all while going back to the franchises roots in tone and scope. Both RIDDICK films thus far have been great but for very different reasons. Hopefully we can get the best from both worlds with this sequel. I’m in!
