Back in February we showed you the first official full length trailer for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and I was finally on board and ready to embrace this new reboot of the Spidey franchise. I did not need any more reason to be excited for this project, until now. The newest trailer for Marc Webb’s (500 DAYS OF SUMMER) THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN has loads of new footage, a more focused idea of what the narrative will be, and a whole lot of action. I really dig the style and tone of this trailer and can feel it’s comic book roots.
So is it too soon for a Spider-Man reboot/remake? Maybe, but guess what, Spider-Man makes a crap ton of money and studios are not just gonna sit on a franchise for 10 years until a bunch of savage nerds say it’s finally alright to move forward. I guarantee you that anyone bitching and moaning about this project is going to fork over the dough when this releases in theatres, and if not, too bad for them.
I am very excited to see Spider-Man kick The Lizard’s ass this summer when THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN swings into theaters on July 3rd 2012!
