HBO has a corny tagline that says “It’s not TV. It’s HBO.” An while that tagline is full of pomp, it is damn true. Nothing compares to the likes of THE WIRE, THE SOPRANOS, CARNIVALE, DEADWOOD, ROME, TRUE BLOOD, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, GAME OF THRONES, THE LEFTOVERS and so on and so forth. I could go on. So when HBO unveils a new show, you better pay some damn attention! Enter WESTWORLD. Talk a look friends.
Hot diggety dog damn that looks swell! Based on the 1973 film of the same name from Michael “Jurassic fucking Park” Crichton, WESTWORLD is upon us and it looks glorious. In a nut shell, WESTWORLD is about a futuristic wild west theme park featuring a robotic cast that goes astray presumably because they are becoming sentient. Sound familiar? Think JURASSIC PARK but instead of dino’s, you have robots in an elaborate recreation of the wild west. Yeah, cool.
Needless to say, I cannot wait until WESTWORLD land this October on HBO.
