Will Sega’s SHENMUE 1 and 2 Ever Get an HD Remaster?

Thanks to the hugely popular Kickstarter campaign that raised over 6 million dollars, we will finally be able to play SHENMUE 3 for PC and PS4 in the near future. Estimates say December 2017 at the moment, but that can change for better or for worse of course. Ever since the official announcement of SHENMUE 3, fans have been wondering if the two original games in the series, SHENMUE (Sega Dreamcast) and SHENMUE 2 (X-Box), will ever see a re-release as an HD remaster. If I were I betting man, which I am not, I would bet that an...

Top 5 Comic Book Picks for January 2017

1. ALIENS: DEFIANCE #9 / Dark Horse Written by Brian Wood / Art by Tony Brescini Writer Brian Wood’s ALIENS DEFIANCE comic series is one of the best things to happen to the ALIENS franchise in a long time. His characters are strong yet vulnerable, each issue is packed with Alien action, and he captures the atmosphere of the films perfectly. Basically, if you are a fan of the franchise, you owe it to yourself to be reading this book. Issue #9 has no shortage of action and there were a few moments that actually dropped my jaw. This series is beginning to...

NETFLIX’s IRON FIST Gets a New and Pretty Amazing Trailer!

We’ve seen a couple teases for NETFLIX’s upcoming IRON FIST here and there, but never anything with this much meat on its bones. While I’ve definitely been looking forward to IRON FIST, I’m 100% sold now. This looks pretty damn great. Sure it smells a little bit like what we’ve seen on The CW’s ARROW, but I have a feeling being on Netflix and being a part of the grander Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to give it an edge. Finally we are about to wrap up all the individual character seasons heading towards THE DEFENDERS mini-series. Daredevil, Jessica...

SUPER BOWL 2017 Movie Trailer Roundup and Impressions!

Ah, it’s that rare time of year when I get really excited for a sporting event. I admit, I don’t really like sports, but every time the Super Bowl rolls around I get all giddy inside. No, not because of the game itself, or Lady Gaga’s halftime performance, but for all those sweet movie trailers! Those sweet sweet less-than-a-minute movie nuggets that are jam packed with awesome footage that get my gears going every year. Yes my friends, I love the Super Bowl because of the movie trailers. And this year we got same pretty amazing teases. Let’s take a...

ARMS on NINTENDO SWITCH Looks Totally Weird and Amazing!

Check it out: NINTENDO SWITCH PRESENTATION 2017 Impressions Only Nintendo could convince me that a game called “ARMS” is something I need to own. Basically, it’s a fighting game that blends classic fight-style gameplay with shooter gameplay since contenders have long springs for arms with boxing gloves attached on the end. In essence, you are shooting your fists at one another while dancing around the arena jumping, dodging, and blocking attacks from your enemy. Nice! Whenever Nintendo comes up with a new franchise I get extremely excited. New gameplay, new characters, and new worlds to explore. The cast here in...

Top 5 Comic Book Picks For December 2016

1. STAR WARS #26 / Marvel Comics Written by Jason Aaron / Art by Salvador Larroca There’s no doubt Jason Aaron’s STAR WARS is an amazing comic book. Some would argue that the ongoing series is the best STAR WARS comic so far since the canon reset after Disney gained the rights. And while the main story set just after the events of A NEW HOPE is pretty great, the one-shot Obi-Wan spin-off issues are far greater. Issue #26 takes a break from the main storyline and strays to a distant time just before THE PHANTOM MENACE. And it stars none...

SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY Announcement Trailer and Impressions

Check it out: NINTENDO SWITCH PRESENTATION 2017 Impressions You had me at new SUPER MARIO game… During the recent NINTENDO SWITCH Presentation, it was revealed that Nintendo’s favorite mascot will be going on a brand new adventure on the NINTENDO SWITCH. While SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY isn’t due out until “Holiday 2017”, it looks to be pretty far along in the development process if the above trailer is any indication. ODYSSEY looks like a pretty weird entry in the franchise exploring new worlds utilizing new moves and abilities including manipulating a living hat with eyes. Classic Nintendo. I admit it was pretty...

STAR WARS Episode 8 Officially Called “THE LAST JEDI” And a Few Predictions

STAR WARS Episode VIII written and directed by LOOPER‘s Rian Johnson and executive produced by J.J. Abrams in now officially called: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. I dig it. And I also dig the fact that the red STAR WARS font, as opposed to the traditional yellow, will likely have everyone speculating until the film releases in December 2017. ANd remember “Jedi” can be singular OR plural. Ya know, like THE LAST SAMURAI. THE LAST JEDI will be taking place directly after the events of THE FORCE AWAKENS instead of having a large time gap as per usual. It appears...

LOGAN Gets a Bad Ass International Red Band Trailer

Say what you will about Fox’s X-MEN film franchise, but there’s just no denying the impact it has had on the “superhero” genre. And can you believe Hugh Jackman has been portraying Wolverine since 2000!? 17 years! Back in November we got our first look at LOGAN with a pretty stunning trailer. But THIS! This new red band international trailer is completely amazing. We get confirmation that the little girl is in fact X-23 and she appears to be trying to one-up KICK-ASS‘s Hit Girl for most brutal, yet innocent looking, little girl. And if anyone had their doubts, LOGAN...

BETTER CALL SAUL Season 3 is Inching Towards BREAKING BAD

AMC, or should I say the Los Pollos Hermanos Youtube channel, has reveled a new commercial heading towards the third season of AMC’s BREAKING BAD prequel series BETTER CALL SAUL. I’m pretty sure the above video speaks for itself. Besides my sudden urge for some curly fires, this new tease has me extremely excited to see the new season of BETTER CALL SAUL. Seeing Gus in his prime is going to be epic. While this tease is a little spoileriffic, we need to all keep in mind that this is a prequel series and we already know the fates...

GRAVITY RUSH 2 Video Game Trailer

The original GRAVITY RUSH saw its debut on the under-appreciated PLAYSTATION VITA handheld system back in 2012. It introduced amazing gravity-defying gameplay that took advantage of the touch-and-play mechanics of the VITA. It was a really fun and unique world with new and exciting gameplay mechanics. For those that never played on the VITA, a new and somewhat improved edition called GRAVITY RUSH: REMASTERED landed as a download-only title on the Playstation Network (except for a limited run physical copy through Amazon) last year. The graphics and a lot of gameplay mechanics got polished up creating a completely worthwhile...

The CW Renews a Crap Load of TV Shows Including Their DC Lineup!

I’m a shameless fan of The CW and am having a blast watching every show in their DC lineup as well as one of my favorite shows of all time SUPERNATURAL. The CW recently announced that it will be officially renewing renewing the following DC Universe shows: THE FLASH (Season 4), ARROW (Season 6), LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (Season 3), SUPERGIRL (Season 3). Ok, cool. FLASH is still going strong, ARROW may be stretching a bit but remains entertaining, LEGENDS is my least favorite...
