Do You Want a BUMBLEBEE Spinoff Movie?

I like robots. I like the 80’s. I like action movies set in the 80’s. So why am I skeptical about the upcoming BUMBLEBEE prequel film? Here’s my main reservation. BUMBLEBEE is a prequel to the already established TRANSFORMERS series from director Michael Bay. This is a missed opportunity. Now is a perfect time to reboot this franchise and make it more like the original cartoon. Everybody wants to see this happen and everybody knows it. So why make another film set in this same universe? Just start over. And while I’m on the subject, do the same thing...

ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL (2018) Movie Trailer

I know I know. The eyes look weird. That’s what people are all going to say. And that will be enough for most of you to dismiss this entire film altogether. And I get it, putting anime-style eyes on a mostly human looking character in a live action movie is kind of weird. Can’t argue there. But remember, this character IS a cyborg. Also, things that are weird are really cool to me. So yeah, I’m looking forward to ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL. I may be the only person you hear say those words. ALITA has been in the works...

FX’s LEGION Season 1 Review

Art by Jean Chen I tried my damnedest to make this a spoiler-free review to help convince nonbelievers out there to give this show a try. So don’t worry about anything too huge being spoiled!  Damn, where do I even start with this show? FX’s LEGION was a trippy and batshit crazy ride that twisted and turned more than me trying to open a stubborn pickle jar. I admit I was definitely on the fence with this one, and boy am I glad I hopped off on the right side. I’m not sure exactly why I was on the...

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Movie Review

Art by Jason Furie I respect your opinion of this movie. Some will love it and some will loathe it. And that’s just fine. Just be nice to each other. When the credits rolled, something I’ve never experienced during a STAR WARS movie happened…I was let down. I was unsatisfied. I didn’t really enjoy myself. And worst of all, I’m not really looking forward to the next installment. I know a lot of you experienced this with the prequel films, but I did not. I actually enjoyed the prequels a great deal. And yeah, I got bullied a lot...

JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM Movie Trailer

You’re never going to hear me full on complain whenever a big-budget summer blockbuster featuring dinosaurs comes along. Hell, I’ll even take a low-budget movie featuring dinosaurs. Basically, I just like dinosaurs. So you can imagine I’m a huge fan of JURASSIC PARK. In fact, I can easily rank the original JURASSIC PARK in my top 3 movies of all time. Yeah, I love it that much. A common mistake moviegoers fall for is setting unrealistic expectations whenever viewing a prequel, sequel, inbetweenquel, and/or a squeakquel. I know there won’t be a movie that can recapture the magic of...

Top 5 Comic Book Picks: November 2017

1.BATMAN ANNUAL #2 / DC Comics Written by Tom King / Art by Lee Weeks & Michael Lark People. I can’t stress this enough. Tom King’s BATMAN ANUUAL #2 is one of the best Batman comics I’ve ever read. Hell, it’s one of the best single issue comic books I’ve ever read. Comic “Annuals” are most often pretty hit or miss. I even skip them altogether sometimes. This book definitely came out of left field and was surprisingly emotional, tightly written, and just beautiful and poetic. These are all things you’re standard superhero book are not. I don’t even...

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Movie Trailer is Epic!

I’m sure if you’re reading this you’ve watched, and likely rewatched, this trailer. It’s epic as all hell and the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building towards this film for a very long time. While this new trailer is jam-packed with awesomeness, it really didn’t reveal too much or spoil anything. That’s a pretty rare occurrence these days with trailers spoiling just about everything anymore. So yeah, props to Marvel and Disney for showing some restraint. That said, it would probably be wise to skip any new trailers that will inevitably surface. And come on, do you really need...

JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie Review – A Step in the Right Direction

Art by Mike McG Note: I just can’t give JUSTICE LEAGUE a proper review without spoiling a few eggs. Consider yourself warned. There’s an age old battle going on between DC and Marvel. Sometimes DC is on top. Sometimes Marvel is on top. But that’s the old way of thinking. Things were simpler when the two rival companies pretty much just made comic books and cartoons. Today, one needs to also consider film, TV, and video games. In my humble opinion, DC and Marvel are on equal footing when it comes to comics. DC may have a slight advantage ever since...

RAMPAGE Movie Trailer – What the Hell is This!?

What the fuck am I looking at? Is this a sequel to the sequel to JUMANJI? JUMANJ3? I’m pretty good at defending bad movie ideas and finding the silver lining, but a RAMPAGE movie based on the video game of the same name? A lot of you reading this may never have even heard of this game let alone have any nostalgic attachment. Usually movies based on video games have the advantage of brand recognition. Not sure RAMPAGE is going to sell tickets on nostalgia alone. Ok, I’ve calmed down a bit. Silver lining time. I love big monster...

Marvel’s Deadpool 2 Teaser Goes Full Bob Ross

Not 100% sure how Bob Ross would feel about this trailer, but I imagine he’d be cool with it. He was pretty damn chill, and he had pet squirrels. If you listened to the latest episode of the NEVER ENDING RADICAL DUDE Podcast, you would have a pretty damn good idea how I feel about the current state of the X-Men film franchise. In short, I’m pretty sure the DEADPOOL films are our best bet to see iconic versions of our favorite heroes. Admit it, Colossus looks pretty damn awesome in DEADPOOL. I can only hope that DEADPOOL exists...
